Did you know you can request recommendations for your company profile in addition to your personal profile on LinkedIn? We all know how important word-of-mouth is and a good review can be the difference between closing a deal and choosing the competition. If you have not begun collecting recommendations on your personal LinkedIn profile, you’re going to have a lot of catching up to do when you’re back in the job market again. That same mindset can be applied to your business. When it comes time to search for new clients, make it an easy sell by collecting short recommendations from past and current clients.
So how do you do this? First you have to build your products and services page. When you edit your company profile, you can add a tab that lists your products and/or services, along with images and bullet points (more tips on maximizing this tab later). These equate to jobs on your personal profile. Once completed, you can then send out requests to your connections (note: always request a connection on LinkedIn from past clients as well). Get to it.
